THE DESIGN THAT STARTED IT ALL FINALLY AVAILABLE AS A PLUGIN About 15 years ago, Peter Rodriguez, CEO of Heritage Audio, decided to use all his knowledge as a music producer and engineer to recreate his favourite microphone preamp with a few improvements all while sparing no cost on materials Back then, the pro audio industry only offered overpriced vintage equipment or attempts to recreate the style of classics, but skimping on materials or incurring design flaws. No manufacturer, large or small, was able to bring the real thing to the public until the first Heritage Audio units - whose name we do not wish to recall - came onto the market and revolutionised the industry forever. Since then, Heritage audio’s design has become the industry standard vintage 73 style preamplifier, making it nearly ubiquitous in professional audio studios around the world. THE BRITISH DIODE-BRIDGE COMPRESSOR THAT CHANGED THE INDUSTRY FINALLY AVAILABLE IN PLUGIN. When we released the SUCCESSOR it was a first in its class, finally allowing creative engineers, producers and musicians to apply warm, colorful and fat compresion. Originally conceived for the MIX bus the SUCCESSOR has actually become a popular choice for all the different aspects of music & sound production. Finding its way into tracking sessions, on to subgroups and even at the MASTERING stage. Adopted by top class engineers like Chris Lord-Alge, and present in thousands of studios, the SUCCESSOR has become a must have piece of outboard gear that shaping the modern music production.

A POWERFUL SECRET WEAPON FOR MANY DURING THE LAST 60 YEARS The Lang PEQ-2 Program Equalizer was almost lost in time before Heritage Audio bought and relaunched the brand in 2022. Not very many units were made and those that have survived until today are carefully guarded by their lucky owners. Also known as the “Transistors Pultec” as both units are based on the same patented Western Electric design, those that are lucky enough to still have them have stated that they have become their “secret weapon”.
